infinite and finite games
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story can make all the difference.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your dream with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
It’s funny but this is what square space says in all their website. and it resonates with me. and the things I want to bring to the world.
I love stories. fantasy. adventure. heroes. as a kid all these things meant a lot to me…
but as I grew up things changed. I am still very curious loving adventures being, and now a little bit wiser.
Writing these words... One thing I've realized in life is that you can talk and think a lot, but experiencing what you're talking about is entirely different. The book "Infinite and finite Games" touched me deeply, as it connected me spiritually to the world, creation, and God—however you choose to name it—through the concept of games. I truly love playing games. I love playing with others, and I want to play as much as possible and constantly grow. But the games have changed since I was a child. Back then, it was tag, hide and seek, and basketball. At home, it was video games.
There were also family trips, both in Israel and abroad, which I really enjoyed.
Then the games became more complex. School was the first challenge, a game I didn't really want to play. With gifts in rhythm and dance (ADHD), it wasn't easy to sit and learn subjects I didn't choose. But even then, I thought if something was relevant to my life, I'd be happy to learn it. It wasn't necessarily bad, just disconnected. I didn't understand why.
I think it's important to understand why. To have things explained and given a believable answer. I think even then I recognized a disconnection between what the adults in my life said I should do and what they truly believed.
This was also the case with my perception of the State of Israel. I took it for granted that this was home, and the history was as presented in school... because that's what everyone around me said.
So, I went to the army, even though I didn't really want to go. I felt pride in being part of the state's defense to some extent. But it felt... disconnected
Cuz the story of Israel…well there’s a lot there. And I think a lot of the story is being told from anger, resentment, lost, denial, pain, revenge, hopelessness and as much as this states of being aren’t bad in themselves, creating our reality from there will just create more disconnection…
I think that's what I'm trying to convey here. Connection. Connection is a wonderful story. We connect, then forget, then remember to reconnect. It's an infinite game. Like the amazing Hannah Gadsby said in the end of her last show and career as a comedian:” my story is your story, and your story is my story…”
The story of humanity has been told until now in many ways... in what new and exiting ways can we tell our story now?
In the past two years, I met a woman who expanded my horizons in every possible way—in the world, in my personal life, with my family, and in my consciousness. I traveled with her around the world for two years. I tried Ayahuasca for the first time (along with several other psychedelics).
All this happened because I asked. I asked the universe for a woman to expand with in every direction. And a few years after that request, she entered my life.
Ah... so the universe listens. Fascinating. Who would've believed that all the magic truly exists (maybe not like in Harry Potter, but you know what I mean... maybe).
And now I remember how simple it is. To ask for what I want. To create it in my world and build my world from that place.
Let's play (:
